See’s Weekly Hot Picks featuring Virgin V Festival, Gary Numan, Dreamworks Animation in Concert and more!

Good afternoon all, welcome to See Tickets’ weekly hot picks. Check out some of the amazing tours and festivals that have been announced, they’re all going on sale this week. We’ve got some great things to shout about, so enjoy!


Jay Z and P!nk announced as headliners for the iconic V Festival, as the first wave of the incredible line up is revealed! Other acts announced this week include Ellie Goulding, Stormzy, Craig David, Dizzee Rascal, Rudimental, Jason Derulo and more, as it returns once more to Hylands Park and Weston Park between the 19-20 August.

Having torn up the pop rulebook with the ‘Tubeway Army’, it was the launch of Gary Numan’s seminal album ‘The Pleasure Principle’ and Numan’s solo career that really pioneered the UK electronic scene, inspiring a new wave of artists across the globe to experiment and embrace a radical new sound. Now, Gary Numan comes to celebrate Liverpool’s 50 Summers of Love season with a special show at the Exhibition Centre on Thursday 27th July.

Liverpool is celebrating 50 years since the famous Summer of Love, with the 50 Summers of Love season featuring over 60 specially curated cultural, artistic and musical events including the recently announced Brian Wilson, performing at the Exhibition Centre, Liverpool on Friday 28th July.

Celebrate over 20 years of the most action-packed and beloved moments to ever hit the screen with DreamWorks Animation in Concert UK arena tour this December! See your favourite scenes from movies such as Shrek, Madagascar, and more, projected on the big screen with a live symphony orchestra in London, Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Liverpool & Cardiff!

Phoenix are thrilled to announce their first non-festival shows of 2017 which include a headline show at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace on Saturday 30th September. Phoenix are a critically-acclaimed band from France.  Born out of high-school friendships in Versailles, Phoenix have been nominated twice for Grammy awards, winning ‘Best Alternative Album’ in 2010 for their record ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’.

British soul musician, Michael Kiwanuka  takes his critically acclaimed, number one selling, Mercury Prize and BRIT Awards nominated second album ‘Love & Hate’ out on the road in October, following his already sold-out tour in April/May, which includes a night at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia have just announced their lineup for 2017, including first headliners The Black Angels, joined by Songhoy Blues and many more. Taking place in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle this September, Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia also welcome psychedelic trailblazers Loop, former Stereolab front-woman Laetitia Sadier and much evangelised dub industrialist Adrian Sherwood.

Ahead of their slot as special guests on Robbie Williams’ 2017 stadium tour, Erasure perform three headline shows: 27 May in Glasgow, 28 May in Manchester and 29 May at London’s historic Roundhouse. The enduring BRIT and Ivor Novello winning pop duo have released details of their seventeenth studio album, ‘World Be Gone’, out on Mute on 19 May 2017.

Following the release of his critically acclaimed debut ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ and a sold out UK and European tour, Loyle Carner has announced he will headline O2 Academy Brixton on the 6th October.
