The Australian Pink Floyd

Tribute bands are often looked down on within the music industry. However, they’re getting more and more popular by the year, and The Australian Pink Floyd are arguably one of the most successful tribute bands of all time.  They not only recreate the music of Pink Floyd, but they also recreate the whole stage shows, and have made such a big name for themselves, they regularly tour worldwide.

If you missed out on tickets for their Colston Hall, Bristol show on Mon 2nd Oct, you can bag yourself four seated tickets here.

SWMRS

This American pop-punk band has a pretty significant connection to another extremely successful American rock band. The drummer, Joseph Armstrong is the son of Green Day front-man, Billie Joe Armstrong. He helped them record their first studio album in 2010, and although it certainly has some early Green Day influence, it proved that the band is no copycat. They’ve now released a total of three studio albums and are heading out on a UK tour.

Don’t worry if you didn’t manage to pick up tickets to the show at Mama Roux’s, Birmingham, there’s one general admission on sale here.

Arcane Roots

Kerrang! Magazine asked this British rock band to cover ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ by Nirvana for their ‘Nevermind Forever’ cover CD back in 2011. Now, the band have two studio albums, one of which reached number 7 in the UK Rock Chart. Annie Mac also named the track, ‘Indigo’ from their most recent album, her ‘hottest track in the world’ for a week. On top of that, they’ve released four EPs.

You can buy two general admission tickets for their sold out show at Scala, London on Thu 5th Oct here.

The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club

Everyone has their favourite radio channels, radio shows or podcasts, but it’s rare one is so popular, they get to take it on tour. That’s exactly what’s happened with the radio programme, The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club. It’s broadcast on both BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 2. Generally sticking to music from black American musicians between the 1950s to the 1980s, it’s fun, energetic and perhaps just a little nostalgic.

The Exeter Phoenix show in Exeter on Fri 6th Oct may be sold out, but you can get a general admission ticket here.
