Outlook Festival

6th - 9th September 2018

If you’re after a dance festival this summer, Croatia is the place to be. Dimensions Festival will be showcasing the best in techno, house, drum & bass and other electronic realms. It'll offer you the chance to relax beachside by day to the sounds of chilled beats, live jazz, soulful selections and more, or take a trip on the Adriatic as boat parties depart from the dock for 3-hour musical excursions with some of your favourite DJ’s and labels. While Outlook Festival will be a celebration of sound system culture, with the likes of J Hus, Andy C, AJ Tracey and many more making up a stellar line-up.

But with the festival site only a 20-minute drive from the city of Pula, your trip could become so much more. The beautiful seafront city is full of things to do and see, from the protected harbour to the Roman ruins. If you fancy yourself somewhat of a historian, you’ll be spoiled for choice. The Venetian Fortress, the Historical, Maritime Museum of Istria and the Temple of Augustus are just a few of the top historic sites to visit.

But it’s not just about history, if you’ve got more of an interest in archaeology and geography, you can visit Zerostrasse, an underground tunnel network. The tunnels were first built as war shelters in the 1900s but are now open to the public to have a wander through, and while you're there, you can check out the galleries.

If you don’t mind a bit of travelling (a bus and a boat ride from Pula), you could even take a trip to the Brijuni Islands. They offer beautiful scenery and a Croatian National Park as well as being a holiday resort. So, if you want to get your tan on, or just fancy a chilled out day away from the liveliness of a festival with your book, this would be a perfectly relaxing day out.

Tito’s Park is another great place to wander around and experience the beauty of Croatia. It’s a waterfront park that offers a serene walk with numerous shade trees, landscaped gardens and even war monuments. You can tick beauty and history off in just one afternoon.

If you want more from your festival this year, you may want to consider a trip to Croatia. Not only will you have the chance to experience the best in dance music festivals, but you’ll also have the opportunity to check out all the incredible sites that the city of Pula has to offer.
