Six years on from the release of the iconic 'Lemonade', Beyonce made her return with her acclaimed, seventh studio album 'Renaissance' back in July. The album is a celebration of house, dance and club culture at its best, with some incredible collaborators coming together to make you dance and feel free. Here at See Tickets we are obsessed with the new album, and while we eagerly await the announcement of her next UK tour, we thought we'd highlight some of the best artists you can catch live if you're a fan of Beyonce and 'Renaissance' like we are!
Chicago born DJ, producer and musician Honey Dijon has been captivating crowds with her versatile sound, forward thinking and exquisitely curated sets for years. Being born and raised the home of house music, to living in New York City as an adult, she has crafted a signature sound from the influences around her. So, it's no surprise that Beyonce brought Honey Dijon into the studio for both 'Cozy' and 'Alien Superstar'. Her unique production and the love she puts into her music shines through the tracks, and she shared on socials that 'to share my Chicago house music roots and black queer and trans culture with you (Beyonce) and the world is profound and emotional'.
So if you've been enjoying 'Renaissance' then you'll definitely enjoy one of Honey Dijon's live sets at The Beams in London this October, or at The Warehouse Project's Homobloc this November in Manchester.
Afro-Cuban French twins Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Díaz, known to the world as Ibeyi returned earlier this year with their latest offering 'Spell 31', an album in pursuit of true harmony, healing and magic. Since the release of their critically acclaimed sophomore album 'Ash', the duo have garnered fans and collaborators in some of the most iconic artists of today, including Beyonce who brought the girls in to feature in the 'All Night' music video of her lemonade album. Their uniquely captivating blend of Yoruban music with modern jazz, pop, electronic, soul and hip-hop is a delight to the ears, and we can't wait to see them continue to make their stamp in the music world.
The Bay Area-born two time Grammy nominated songstress released her third full-length album 'blue water road' earlier this year which she refers to as 'like a glass house'; light, transparent with the sun shining through it. With her melodic tones, soulful R&B roots, and raw lyrics, Kehlani is a powerful beacon in R&B culture. Having been nominated for multiple Grammys, and receiving the 'Rule Breaker Award' from Billboard Women in Music, she, like Beyonce, is a powerful female in the industry who isn't afraid of doing something different and taking risks.
She's heading out on her UK tour this December, but be quick they're selling out fast!
Rebecca Lucy Taylor, better known by her stage name Self Esteem, has been on the scene for the past decade. She was previously part of indie-folk duo Slow Club until they split in 2017, when Taylor realised her dreams were of the maximalist kind, with visions of huge pop choruses and dance routines. Well, it's fair to say as Self Esteem she has manifested these dreams into a reality. Her second album 'Prioritise Pleasure' released last year has made waves, and even recently been nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. The album wrangles with all aspects of self love, intimacy, self loathing and everything in between. Just as Beyonce has blessed us with an array of songs teaching us how to love ourselves and be confident, Self Esteem is quickly proving herself a master of these anthemic, emotional tracks also, and we can't wait to watch her continue to skyrocket.
You can catch her on tour in February and March 2023! Grab your tickets now.
The iconic Nile Rodgers is a man who needs no introduction. Rising to fame as a founding member of Chic who brought their disco music across the world in the late 70s, to contributing his writing and production skills to other iconic artists like Diana Ross, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Daft Punk and more, his influence is heard far and wide. Most recently, he's brought his musical skillset to Beyonce's 'Renaissance' album on the song 'Cuff It' and it's a collaboration that we can't get enough of.
