Getting into costume and make-up and starting to move like Willy Wonka.

Iago in Shakespeare’s Othello.

Hamlet, because it is the greatest part ever written.

Why did you want to play Willy Wonka?

Because he is the Hamlet of musical theatre…

What goes on behind the scenes during a performance?

Everyone is running around to their next entrance!

Who’s your backstage buddy?

I have two! Natalie, who does my make-up and Gavin, my dresser.
