An American in Paris... In London?



You heard it right, this Broadway musical inspired by the Oscar®-winning MGM film, An American In Paris (that starred Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron), is coming to the West End and features a company of 50 actors, dancers and musicians.

The story follows Jerry Mulligan, an American GI striving to make it as a painter in a city suddenly bursting with hope and possibility. Following a chance encounter with a beautiful young dancer named Lise, the streets of Paris become the backdrop to a modern romance of art, friendship and love.

Transferring with this stunning production are the fantastic Broadway leads, Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope (as seen below).

Having acquired Best Scenic Design of a Musical as one of the four Tony Awards it won in 2015, you can imagine that this show will look absolutely spectacular. Here's a glimpse of its US counterpart...

Fun fact: The show features the use of stunning projections by 59 Productions (renowned for their work on the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony and War Horse).
