After selling out at the Royal Court Theatre in just one day, Jez Butterworth's epic new play THE FERRYMAN transfers to the West End. His previous works include the smash hit play, Jerusalem.
Directed by Sam Mendes, the cast will include multi award winning actor Paddy Considine, Laura Donnelly and Genevieve O'Reilly. Mendes’ previous theatre directing includes Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on the West End. He also directs a lot of films including; American Beauty, Road To Perdition and more recently directing the James Bond films, Skyfall and Spectre.
THE FERRYMAN is set in Rural Derry, 1981. The Carney farmhouse is a hive of activity with preparations for the annual harvest. A day of hard work on the land and a traditional night of feasting and celebrations lie ahead. But this year they will be interrupted by a visitor.
The cast will include Bríd Brennan, Paddy Considine (Pictured Below), Turlough Convery, Laura Donnelly, Fra Fee, Tom Glynn-Carney, Stuart Graham, Gerard Horan, Carla Langley, Des McAleer, Conor MacNeill, Rob Malone, Dearbhla Molloy, Eugene O’Hare, Genevieve O’Reilly and Niall Wright with further casting to be announced…
