Originating all the way back to 1907, the Olympia Horse Show is an event that has been celebrated by those of all ages, far and wide for decades. Since then the show has expanded to remarkable bounds, with renowned competitions displaying some of the world’s greatest talents in horse-riding; such as the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Grand Prix, FEI World Cup™ Driving Leg and the LeMieux BSPS Heritage Supreme Championships – just to name a few!
Special events to look out for
Every afternoon and evening the famous Chilean Huasos and Dancers will be performing at Olympia! Bred for the rough and challenging terrains of the Chilean mountains, these horses are spectacular in strength and elegant in style as they work as a close team with their riders to put on an amazing performance every time. They will be joined by the Metropolitan Police who will be performance their daredevil activity ride. Expect to see everything from brave stunts to flaming jumps!
On Friday 15th evening, world class jump and flat jockeys will be competing against each other in a relay race against the clock in the Markel Champions Challenge for the Injured Jockeys Fund. Don’t miss this speedy class and get ready to cheer your favourite team home!
Whilst on Monday 18th evening you can enjoy one of the biggest jumping competitions of the week, The Olympia Grand Prix. The top riders will be jumping the huge 1.6m course in a bid to come home with the prize.
Not only will there be these spectacular events, but the chance to find that perfect present, or a little something for yourself, at one of the 200 stands in the Shopping Village.
