Party on the Prom

Blackpool’s first family festival is coming to the stunning seaside location, the Tower Festival Headland this July! This day of fun will be full to the brim with entertainment. From meet and greets with Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Peter Rabbit and Rex The T-Rex to live performances from Andy Day & The Odd Socks, A Taste of Little Mix, Johnny and the Raindrops and Raver Tots featuring DJ Slipmatt. But that’s not all! The workshop area and big marquee will also be up and running, giving kids of all ages the chance to get involved in educational and exciting activities.

Bearded Theory

This Derbyshire festival has been around for more than a decade now, and has won numerous awards including “UK’s Best Family Festival”, “Promoter of the Year”, “Gig of the Year” and more! This May bank holiday weekend festival ticks every box, starting at the exciting food stalls including a pirate ship fish and chip shop, a village Deli, Kitty’s Cake Emporium, the hugely popular Cheesy Vinyl bar, (port and cheese) and a fabulous Burrito stand. A huge children’s zone will be home to hundreds of activities taking place across the weekend as well as a funfair and arts and crafts workshops. They even run their own on-site school for children attending on the Friday, where subjects will complement the national curriculum! Additionally, their awesome line-up for 2018 includes Blossoms, Robert Plant, Jimmy Cliff, Sleaford Mods, Jake Bugg and so many more!

Beautiful Days

Another long-standing festival, Beautiful Days is now in its 16th year! With seven stages including a seated Theatre Tent, a huge children’s area, family camping, licensed real ale bars from Otter Brewery for the adults, and more than enough food and craft stalls to choose from, you’ll never be stuck for things to do. Bushcraft, theatre, circus, rides, story-telling, music and craft workshops and face painting will keep the little ones busy too. But there’s more! The line-up is one to rival any summer festival this year, with the likes of Manic Street Preachers, Levellers, Gogol Bordello, Suzanne Vega, Shed Seven and Nadine Shah just to name a few. The festival takes place from 17th - 19th August at Escot Park, Devon.

Gloworm

Taking place in the heart of Sherwood Forest at Thorseby Park, Nottinghamshire, this family festival may only be in its third year but it keeps going from strength to strength. The 2018 line-up includes the likes of BAFTA-nominated Mister Maker, Andy Day, DR Ranj, Milkshake "live", JB Gill, PJ Mask, Peppa Pig and more! With workshops, circus performances, a beach area, and even a Victorian fairground filled with exciting rides, there’s plenty to keep the whole family busy throughout the weekend. Camping is also available on site for the weekend, including the option of staying in glamping pods.
