On Friday 18th October, we at See Tickets hosted the first charity fundraiser for our chosen company charity, Rainbow's Hospice, in the form of The Great See Tickets Bake Off!
Staff from See Tickets' Nottingham office were invited to bake anything they'd like in order to raise money for Rainbow's. They could either bake sweet treats for the bake sale, or bake to win in the See Tickets Bake Off competition, judged by expert bakers from Tough Mary's Bakehouse in Nottingham. Or, simply eat and donate!
Eight contestants entered the Bake Off, with a range of baked goods - from sponge cakes to cookies, and banana bread to croquembouche!
Our guest judges were impressed with all the bakes, but the winners were announced as:
1st Place: Bernadette's Lemon Cake
2nd Place: Emma's Vegan & Gluten Free Chocolate Pumpkin Cake
3rd Place: Paul's Croquembouche
All in all, we raised over £200 in donations for Rainbow's Hospice throughout the day. Thanks to everyone who baked, ate and donated. Stay tuned for the next fundraising activity for See Tickets' chosen charity Rainbows!
Since 1994, Rainbow's Hospice for children and young people has opened its hearts and doors to provide end of life care plus support for families through such a tough time and bereavement. As the only hospice of this kind in the East Midlands, every penny counts.
