The Countdown to Taste of London is On!

Taste of London

There’s just a matter of days to go until Taste of London takes over their sundrenched spot in Regent’s Park for ten long days of next level feasting. And boy have they got a lot of deliciousness in store for you...

Inspiring yet more hunger pangs are a plethora of new additions to the 30+ strong line-up of London’s latest and greatest restaurants. Hot on the heels of his recent announcement, Rohit Ghai, previously of Michelin-starred Jamavar, will be bringing his brand new concept Manthan to the festival, offering an exclusive first taste of the dishes in store. Also pitching up will be fresh pasta purveyors La Tua Pasta, gourmet fish and chip slingers Hook, Nikkei specialists Chotto Matte, RAW Fish & Cocktails and dessert mavericks Crème.

Highlights from the menu of 140+ dishes include smoked brisket bao buns by Flesh & Buns, wagyu gyoza by Chotto Matte, short rib and beef cheek barbacoa by Sonora Taqueria, BBQ Indonesian sea bass by Sticky Mango and Freezecakes’ cherry bakewell frozen cheesecake. Start salivating over the full menus here and it’s time to bring out the stretchy pants.

All this eating is thirsty work. Thankfully Laurent-Perrier are on hand to pair your restaurant spoils with La Cuvée champagne, or meander through the Craft Beer alleys to discover your new brewery beau. For a taste of the tropics, drop by Patron’s plant filled Tulum-inspired hangout for a chilled paloma in the sunshine followed by dancing in front of DJ Fat Tony at the Two Keys Party Terrace.

To get more hands on, drop by a producer masterclass with Accor - Live Limitless Experiences, shake up a coffee-infused cocktail at the De’Longhi Coffee Bar or join an intimate cooking class at the Chop It Like It’s Hot: Taste Kitchen where you’ll be put through your culinary paces by the likes of Asma Khan, Big Zuu, Professor Green and Gizzi Erskine.

For a touch of luxury, Laurent-Perrier have teamed up with The Berkeley for a champagne edition of their Prêt-À-Portea experience; a parade of the season’s most iconic styles reimagined in couture cake form and paired with Cuvée Rosé. Or pull up a blanket at the Aspall Picnic Meadow to tuck into five delicious dishes including one created by two Michelin-starred chef James Knappett, all washed down with Aspall cyder and accompanied by live music.

Turn up the heat with a stop at The Fire Pit to catch culinary superstars stoking the coals and for a chance to taste their creations, alongside the resident restaurant Arros QD who’ll be serving up their legendary paella. On Friday 9th July, Jack Whitehall and Marcus Petty-Saphon will be taking the reins with their anything-goes pop-up Food Slut, followed by Hot4U, the new concept by St John’s Eddy Tejada and Matthew Scott of Cub, before the festival closes out with Ivan Tisdall-Downes of Native on the grills.
