In November's 'On Rotation With See Tickets' we're sharing our most loved tracks from the past month!
Featuring old favourites such as Nina Simone and The Waterboys, alongside new instant classics like Charli XCX's latest bop - November has given us an eclectic mix of hits.
Here we take a closer look at a handful of the releases that we've been obsessed with.
Charli XCX - New Shapes (feat. Christine and the Queens & Caroline Polachek)
Coinciding with the announcement of a HUGE European tour - including a run of UK dates across May 2022 - alt-pop queen Charli XCX has dropped dazzling new single 'New Shapes' alongside acclaimed favourites Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek. It comes from her highly anticipated forthcoming brand new fifth LP, 'CRASH' (released 18th March). If 'New Shapes' is a teaser of what to expect, we cannot wait to hear the rest of the record!
Squirrel Flower - Hurt A Fly
When 'Planet (i)' was released back in June, we knew that it would be an album that we'd revisit time and time again. As 'end of year' list season approaches, the first single from 'Planet (i)', 'Hurt A Fly', has reminded us of its brilliance and how much we have loved the record since it dropped. Loaded with rattling snares and ghostly vocals, Ella Williams showcases her enigmatic style in fine form across the three minute banger.
FOALS - Wake Me Up
After releasing two albums - aptly named 'Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost (part 1)' & 'Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost (part 2)' - back in 2019, FOALS are back with "ravey new single" 'Wake Me Up.' It comes from an as-of-yet undisclosed new album (set for release in 2022) and once again offers the Oxford formed indie icons a platform to enhance their sound and build on their impressive cornerstone of six previous albums.
You Me At Six - Bite My Tongue (feat. Oli Sykes)
Since the announcement of You Me At Six's 'Sinners Never Sleep' anniversary tour, we have been obsessed with the record - especially this collaboration with fellow pop-punk legend Oli Sykes. Packed with snarling vocals and huge choruses, 'Bite My Tongue' was (and still is) a massive anthem and one that we cannot wait to hear again when You Me At Six take the album celebrations to Temple Newsam and Hatfield Park next year.
