APRE
The wonky pop brainchild of Charlie Brown and Jules Konieczny, APRE emerged in 2018 with their debut single 'All Yours' followed by their debut EP 'The Movement Of Time'. Since then they have continued to sit on the experimental edge of pop while writing, recording and producing from Charlie’s grandma’s front room. They self-describe themselves as the lovechild of Tears For Fears and Foals, so if that sounds like your kind of thing, then definitely check them out. We can't wait to see them live in intimate venues across the UK this October.
Babeheaven
Babeheaven's fusion of indie, pop and electronic music led by Nancy Andersen's remarkable vocal and emotional depth have been the recipe to their rising success. Developing their sound and story at their own pace and continually playing with different genres to create their own form of dreamy pop has led to their committed following and widespread plaudits. This 22 year old creates dreamy alt-pop which mixes her deeply heartfelt reflections on life with offbeat and whimsical lyrical twists, all produced with technicolour beats and unpredictable hooks. With an adventurous approach hypnotically mixing trap, pop, punk and rock melodies, this 22 year old Vancouver-based artist strives to be different. His debut album released last year 'DUSK to DAWN' had a cinematic approach, influenced by hip-hop's most accomplished auteurs like Kanye West and Kid Cudi. Courting
Following the release of their EP 'Grand National' late last year, this up and coming Liverpool four-piece earnt plaudits from BBC Radio 6, NME, CLASH, Dork and more. They've already sold-out headline shows and performed alongside the likes of Sports Team, Wet Leg, and FEET, firmly cementing themselves as a must-see live act.
Charlotte Sands
Raised on the Pop/Punk bands of the early 2000’s, and rooted in the storytelling of folk singer/songwriters, Charlotte Sands combines upbeat melodies with unabashedly honest, self-reflective lyrics. With energetic live shows and songs that speak to the misfit in all of us, she isn’t afraid to speak or play loud, establishing herself as a female powerhouse for the next generation.
Daisy Brain
Daisy Brain (the alias of Will Tse), is an emerging songwriter and producer from London. He writes and produces from his bedroom, combining a love of Britpop and grunge with an emo melodic streak and lyrics rooted in his Gen-Z experiences. Known to put on a raucous and energetic live show, you can expect all the mosh pits on his UK tour this May!
Death Valley Girls
A genre-blending rock troupe from LA, Death Valley Girls are a force of nature. Combining an alluring range of sounds, from garage punk to proto-metal, the band's songs are both uplifting and riotous with an infectious nature that leaves the listener entranced and ready for more. Delilah Bon
Yorkshire-born artist Delilah Bon presents the world with a little-seen, and much-coveted, ability to seamlessly combine rap, hip hop and rock in the most modern way. Her feminist-fuelled artistry is distinctly unique and thoroughly self-aware, while drawing on influences from a time gone by to create empowering punk music for a generation who want to change the world. This October, you can experience the incredible music of EDBL live for yourself as the multi-talented, singer-songwriter and musician heads out on the road. This rising star is unlike anything else you'll see this year, having honed his talents over the last several years. If you're a fan of all things hip-hop, R&B and jazz - and, even more so, enjoy a blend of all three - then EDBL is not one to be missed. Finn Foxell
This West London artist, rapper and all-round vibe-curator extracts the rawest elements of, rap, soul, rock and beyond, to create smoky, electronic, hip-hop leaning atmospherics. In the last few years he has blossomed into a reputable artist who has garnered an impressive fanbase through a slew of hit releases over the years, including 'Buddah', 'Ericsson', 'Bounce' and 2020's 'Talk Is Cheap' EP. You can catch him live in multiple venues across the UK this autumn.
Ibeyi
Afro-Cuban, French twins Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Díaz, known to the world as Ibeyi, create a uniquely, captivating blend of Yoruban music with modern jazz, pop, electronic, soul and hip-hop. Their upcoming third studio album 'Spell 31' will feature appearances from Jorja Smith, Pa Salieu and Berwyn and cements them as a one-to-watch. Don't miss their headline show at Koko this November!
Jack Cullen
Jack Cullen has just released his first official solo single 'It Doesn't Matter' and with its addictive hooks, uplifting pop sound and good vibes outlook, it sets him as a one-to-watch in 2022. Having made his name through gigging in Ireland, Cullen is a romantic for the live experience and ability to create a connection with the audience. Just Mustard
This five-piece band from Dundalk, Ireland first emerged in 2016, but laid low during the pandemic until they finally returned with new single 'I Am You' late last year. The incredible new single was also followed by the announcement of a new album 'Heart Under' due for release in May through Partisan Records (Fontaines D.C., Geese). At every turn this remarkable record reconfigures and stretches the ideas and ambition of a rock band, turning lockdown into a breath-taking artistic statement. American artist KennyHoopla is one of the most exciting rising artists in the alternative space today. Following his 2020 release 'how will i rest in peace if i'm buried by a highway?', he has received critical praise by tastemakers such as Fader, Complex, and NME, and has released a mixtape with Blink-182's Travis Barker. Lime Cordiale
While Lime Cordiale formed in 2009, it wasn't until eight years later that they released their full length studio debut album 'Permanent Vacation'. It was at this point that the music world sat up and paid attention to the Sydney-born pop-rockers. Fast forward to 2022 and the Australian outfit have just released an EP with none other than international star Idris Elba, in the form of 'Cordi Elba'. Samantha Fish
This charismatic singer-guitarist and songwriter from Kansas City has earned a reputation as a rising star in the contemporary blues world. While she has been releasing albums for a number of years, her impressive guitar and song writing abilities continue to grow across her acclaimed albums like 'Better Be Lonely' (2021), 'Kill Or Be Kind' (2019) and 'Belle of the West' (2017), where she experiments with rock, country funk, bluegrass and ballads.. Brixton-based vocalist, musician and producer Santino Le Saint released his highly anticipated debut album ‘Beautiful Disaster’ late last year. Snail Mail
The indie rock solo project of Lindsey Jordan (aka Snail Mail) has released two spellbinding albums, 'Lush' (2018) and 'Valentine' (2021). Suki Waterhouse
You might recognize her name or work as a model or actress, but you'll really get to know the multi-faceted artist through her music. Using song-writing and music as a medium for expressing creativity and telling stories, she has drawn comparisons to the likes of Mazzy Star, The Concretes and Camera Obscura. After a string of singles and EP's, she is finally releasing her debut album 'I Can't Let Go' later this month and will be playing London's Omeara for two nights this June to celebrate. Making songs that merge classic punk and rock’n’roll, ‘60s psychedelia and the gnarled pop charge of The Strokes with the gritty, modern underground intensity of Idles or Shame, this four piece act have caught the ears of tastemakers in the industry. Their 2021 release 'Stuck In The City' has been played across BBC Radio 6 and Radio X, and has earnt them support slots with Carl Barat, Cast and The Skinner Brothers. The Native
These local lads from Plymouth first formed in secondary school, when playing in the music practice rooms eventually turned into creating 'Fall Down' (2018), their dreamy folk-facing EP. They later went on to win a competition to support Bastille as part of MTV's Ocean City Sounds and after a quick stint away to finish their A-Levels, have gone on to release a collection of impressive singles and EP's. They are now heading out on their own headline tour this June, you can grab your tickets now!
Tomberlin
Born in Florida, raised in Illinois, then moving to Louisville, L.A and New York, Tomberlin has taken influence from the variety of surroundings of her life. With each of her releases she creates a perfectly blended soundscape which combine delicately plucked guitars, drifting synthesizers, brushy percussion and expansive arrangements. With her upcoming album 'i don't know who needs to hear this' due for release the end of April, she is heading out on a UK tour this April and May to celebrate, tickets on sale now!
