So, whether you’ve just come out of a relationship and want to focus on yourself or are just looking for some tunes that will have you punching the air and dancing around the room, take a look our picks and get listening to our playlist. This month it's all about you!

Taylor Swift - Bejeweled

Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of the icons when it comes to empowering, upbeat songs and 'Bejeweled' absolutely fits into that category. The catchy, anthemic track, coupled with the fun music video is everything you'd expect from a T-Swift song and will have you singing along in no time.

Alina Baraz - To Me

American R&B artist Alina Baraz is known for her dream-like and angelic vocals and melodies making her music the perfect vibe for that self-healing and self-love energy. Her song 'To Me' features on her 'It Was Divine' album, including features from artists by the likes of Khalid, 6lack, and Smino'. Throughout the song, she reflects on a toxic relationship and decides to keep moving forward and grow from her broken heart, making the song a self-healing playlist staple.

Natalie Lauren - God Morning

R&B/Soul, Oklahoma-born artist Natalie Lauren is an astounding multi-sensory storyteller, musician, and songwriter, who advocates for the untold stories of everyday black people within her music. Her most recent album 'Handle With Care', released in 2020, includes 'God Morning', a song all about self-love and showing up for yourself, making it a self-love playlist must-have. The album also includes other great self-love songs like 'Meditate', with Lauren's aim being to create a space where her listeners are able to be themselves without judgement.

Shania Twain – Man! I Feel Like A Woman!

If there's one song that says 'I feel empowered, this is all about me', it's Shania Twain's 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman!' With it's catchy tune, it's one that will have you dancing around the room and singing along in no time.

Mac Miller – Self Care

With its breezy, synth like melody and sound, Mac Miller's 2018 release fits perfectly into the self love song category, with a title to match. The slow, spacey, and electronic-tinged synths draw you in, but the beat then kicks in adding a much-needed bounce and energy to the track. It's a song to just throw on when you're in the mood for some time to focus on yourself.

Frightened Rabbit - I Feel Better

If you're in the mood for a feel good song then 'I Feel Better' is definitely one! With its upbeat drums and guitar melody it'll have you listening on repeat in no time and bopping along in no time. The track very much proves that self care songs don't need to have a slow melody and Frightened Rabbit will certainly have you feeling better with this offering.

Beyoncé – Don't Hurt Yourself (feat. Jack White)

Beyoncé's 2016 offering - 'Don't Hurt Yourself' - embodies empowerment perfectly. The track powerfully encompasses standing up for yourself and putting yourself first - everything self care and self love is. If you need a track to sing at the top your lungs this is one of them!
