On Rotation: August 2023

We're back with another instalment of 'On Rotation', so you can check out what songs the See Tickets marketing team have been loving recently. Don't forget to check out the full playlist at the bottom of the page!

CMAT - Where Are Your Kids Tonight featuring John Grant

It's no secret that we're big CMAT fans here at See Tickets, and her new release is once again on repeat for us. 'Where Are Your Kids Tonight' is the third single from her upcoming sophomore album 'Crazymad, For Me' (due for release in October), and is a duet with former Czars singer-songwriter John Grant, who's voices work together to produce this addictive, nostalgic feeling track.

Alvvays - Pharmacist

Pharmacist, the opening track from Alvvays' acclaimed 2022 album 'Blue Rev', is a perfect song to pop in your headphones and kickstart the day to. With its layers of distortion growing as the track goes on, it's nostalgia driven bedroom-pop at its best. Give it a listen and it might just end up in your on repeats as well!

CVC - Sophie

Welsh rockers CVC are ones to watch. With their psych pop channelling 60s California, their music is made for long summer evenings, and 'Sophie' certainly fits the bill. Taken off their debut album 'Get Real', 'Sophie' oozes with effortlessly cool, sultry, summer vibes, a welcome addition to any summer playlist.

Stormzy & Raye - The Weekend

Their first collaboration since 2016's 'Ambition', 'The Weekend' is a reminder of the magic Raye and Stormzy create in the studio together. This sultry, romantic collaboration perfectly fuses Raye's soulful R&B vocals with Stormzy's tongue-in-cheek rap, reminiscent of the early 2000's sound. An absolute bop that you won't stop binging.

The Menzingers - There's No Place In This World For Me

Self described as 'an anthem for anyone stuck between where they are and where they want to be', the latest track from The Menzingers is one to throw on full blast on your speakers. The new single is a tease for their upcoming album, which we're patiently awaiting details for. But while we wait, no harm in listening to this on loop is there?

J Hus - Who Told You ft Drake

When this dropped back in June, it was clear the song of the summer had arrived. A song all about the joy of dancing, with a guest feature from the king of summer singles Drake (think back to 2016), this track has a rhythm that you won't be able to stop yourself moving along to. Don't forget to check out J Hus' latest album 'Beautiful And Brutal Yard' released last month for more like this.

Lana Del Rey - Cinnamon Girl

2019 saw Lana Del Rey release 'Norman F**king Rockwell', (in our opinion) one of her best records, and 'Cinnamon Girl' is the undeniable highlight. With Lana's signature sense of melancholia and floaty, summery atmosphere, it's an addictive track which will no doubt be popping up in our rotations for years to come.
