Artist of the Month: Example

Having spent close to two decades in the scene, Example is an iconic singer, rapper and producer. The UK mainstay has crafted a career drenched in accolades and most recently returned with the news of a UK tour for February 2024. So, it only seemed about time that we feature him in our Artist of the Month series!

Renowned for his monstrous live sets, Example – Elliot John Gleave – first made real waves in the industry when his second album offering, ‘Won’t Go Quietly’, peaked at number four in the UK album charts. The album featured some of his biggest singles – ‘Kickstarts’ and ‘Won’t Go Quietly’, which to this day are guaranteed to get heads bopping and people singing along.

September 2011 saw the, now platinum selling artist, achieve his first number one chart singles with ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ and ‘Stay Awake.’ Over the years, Example has received praise from the likes of Zane Lowe and Pete Tong, great airplay from BBC Radio 1 and earned himself BRIT and NME Award nominations. He’s also collaborated with Ed Sheeran on a song about food chain, Nandos!

With multiple Glastonbury Festival appearances under his belt and his last tour selling over 25,000 tickets, Example continues his legacy whilst attracting new fans both young and old, adding to his ever growing loyal following cultivated throughout his prestigious career. As his huge eighth studio album dropped last year, the singer is now preparing to head out on tour in Spring 2024.

Renowned for his monstrous live sets, you can anticipate a high-octane show featuring all of his timeless hits like 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me,' 'Kickstarts,' 'Stay Awake,' 'Say Nothing,' and 'We'll Be Coming Back,' in addition to tracks from his latest album.
