5 Minutes With Briston Maroney

Acclaimed Nashville-based artist Briston Maroney embarks on a UK tour this week!

Coinciding with the release of his acclaimed latest album ‘Ultrapure’ last month, we caught up to discuss what to expect from the shows, working with his musical heroes and more.

Check out the full interview below.

Firstly, you’re heading to the UK this week – how are you feeling about being back?

I'm stoked to come back! Our last trip was an emotional rollercoaster and I'm ready to hop right back on!.

You’re playing some stunning venues including Scala in London and Brudenell in Leeds – do you have any favourites?

I've heard both of these are legendary! We got to open for Wallows at the Electric Brixton London and that took my breath away!

Is there anything other than performing that you’re looking forward to doing whilst over here?

I love breathing some fresh air and we’ve stumbled into some really cool parks while being there, i'm always stoked to just hang with a good read.

Your new record, ‘Ultrapure’, was released earlier this year – how has the reaction been from your POV?

It’s been different than any other record, quieter, but the connections seem really genuine.

You collaborated with Manchester Orchestra on the brilliant ‘Bottle Rocket’ (which is one of my favourites, btw!) – what was it like to work with those guys?

Andy is a friend and a hero, so working with them was a delight!

Similarly you’ve opened for the likes of Jack White – did you learn anything that you’ve since adopted from him?

His passion and kindness really stuck with me!

What else can we expect from you for the rest of 2023 and beyond?

For my internet presence to grow increasingly insufferable!

Final tickets for all shows are on sale now!
