Black Honey
Black Honey's ‘Lemonade’ has marked their return after a stellar year following their third album 'A Fistful of Peaches', hitting number six on the UK charts. The newest single is an anthem against the pressure to always find positivity, embracing the idea that life doesn't always allow for making lemonade out of lemons. They've risen from cult underground favourites to a genuine breakthrough success, having received support from Liam Gallagher, The Libertines, IDLES and more, we can't wait to see this band go even more stratospheric in 2024.

Brooke Combe
Exciting Edinburgh-born vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Brooke Combe unveiled her debut mixtape 'Black Is The New Gold' this year which has earnt her endorsement from the likes of the BBC, Rolling Stone UK, The Skinny and NME. It is a collection that shows how she's honed her craft over years of performing, and her retro sound and emotive storytelling is cutting her own path in a typically male-dominated indie space. Watch out for her in 2024.

Etta Marcus
The last two years have seen Etta Marcus gain a growing cult-like following, drawn to her beguiling story-telling, marking her out as one of the most compelling new artists of recent times. She released her acclaimed second EP 'Heart-Shaped Bruise' back in January, which NME described as feeling “like a frosted window into the aching heart of an artist who is writing her imperfect story in real-time". If you're a fan of the sophisticated song writing styles of Sharon Van Etten, Lana Del Rey, and Phoebe Bridgers, then Etta is definitely one to add onto your playlists. We can't wait to see what she's got coming in 2024.

Hollow Coves
For fans of Ben Howard, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Vance Joy - introducing Aussie indie folk group Hollow Coves. Formed back in 2013 in Brisbane, and built around the talents of singer/songwriters Ryan Henderson and Matt Carins, they released their first single 'The Woods' in 2017. Since then, over the course of many EPs and their debut album in 2019, the duo have built up a dedicated following. With their sophomore album due for release next year, the duo have released a new track 'Milk & Honey' to give fans a taste of what's to come, and we can't wait to hear the full album.

Jockstrap
A collaboration between vocalist/violinist/songwriter Georgia Ellery (also a member of Black Country, New Road) and electronic producer Taylor Skye, Jockstrap had the quite the year off the back of their September 2022 debut album release 'I Love You Jennifer B'. The record was critically praised, receiving the five star treatment from NME who branded it "a record emblazoned with such pristine, disorienting, unsettling originality that at first, you don’t quite know what to do with it." Even going on to receive a prestigious Mercury Prize nomination, and performing at Glastonbury. We can't wait to see what they have in store for 2024.

Joker Out
Having released their sophomore 'Demoni' in 2022, Joker Out have since toured across Europe to sold out crowds, and represented Slovenia at 2023's Eurovision. Officially Slovenia’s biggest and hottest rock 'n' roll band, they are now on a global stage and capturing a cult fan following.

Junodream
Over the past five years, Junodream have carved out a diverse yet defined sound for themselves. Echoing the art-rock sounds of Radiohead and Pink-Floyd - both cited by the band as a primary influence, they describe their songs as an ode to 'alienation in the 21st century... somewhere in the middle of sad and uplifting'. Having spent the last few years released a string of singles and EPs, their debut album 'Pools of Colour' will be available on the 26th of January 2024 and we're sure they're going to get all the attention they deserve - you can check out the first two singles from the album 'The Beach' and 'Death Drive' now.

Los Bitchos
This London-based, pan-continental, all female band could well be your new favourite party band. The captivating group are known for their infectious blend of psychedelic cumbia and surf rock as heard on their February 2022 album 'Let the Festivities Begin!'. With vibrant melodies and irresistible rhythms, every song is a party in its own right and creates a sonic journey that feels like an adventure under the sun. Keeping our fingers crossed for a new album in 2024!

Master Peace
Making waves with his hybrid indie street sound, Master Peace's upcoming debut album 'How To Make a Master Peace' is nearly here! Having cited iconic indie artists like Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, Friendly Fires and Gorillaz as central to his musical development, his music is ambitious in scope and sound, and stands the test of time on its own merit. Don't sleep on this one!

Moncrieff
Irish singer-songwriter Moncrieff has had an exciting 2023. Having won the RTÉ Choice Music Prize for 'Irish Song of the Year' 2022 at the start of the year for his smash single 'Warm', he has been busy in the studio releasing a steady stream of acclaimed singles and EPs. His debut album is ready and we're now patiently awaiting its release in 2024, keep your eyes peeled!

Nieve Ella

Picture Parlour
Picture Parlour became a word-of-mouth sensation earlier this year with the release of their debut single 'Norweigan Wood', which received critical acclaim from the likes of The Guardian, Rolling Stone UK, BBC Radio 6 and more. Their sound is a mesmerizing blend of indie rock, folk and hints of nostalgic melodies paired with their poetic lyricism which invites listeners into their world. Their follow up single 'Judgement Day' is just as impressive, and hints at what we have to come from them in 2024...

Rum Jungle
Hailing from the steel city, Newcastle (Aus), Rum Jungle are one of Australia's go-to sun soaked bands with their mixture of surf rock and alt-pop. They float pop melodies on psych guitars and chilled groove beats, with a plethora of sounds and styles, which come together to create something which is distinctly their own and their latest EP 'Hold Me In The Water' demonstrates just that. While they've emerged as a serious player in Australia's live music scene, we think 2024 will see them make further waves in the UK.

Slow Pulp
Indie rock band Slow Pulp released their newest album 'Yard' to widespread acclaim this year, with Variety calling it 'One of 2023's Best Rock Records'. In the last few years the band have been on an impressive trajectory, from 2017's self-released EP cultivating crowds to their shows, to in the midst of the pandemic releasing their debut album 'Moveys' to critical acclaim and getting signed to ANTI for this new record. Their distinctive sound is here to stay and 2024 definitely won't see them slow down.

Tapir!
This London folk band have built their own little world this year. The 6-piece outfit have released two EPs this year 'Act 1 (The Pilgrim) and 'Act 2 (Their God)' which follows a creature called 'The Pilgrim' through their fictional universe they've created. It's a project unlike anything on the scene at the moment, and their way of creating not just music but a multimedia project for listeners to explore is what sets them apart as a one to watch. With 2024 on its way, we're ready to delve even further into Tapir!'s universe, and we hope you'll check them out too.

The Last Dinner Party
Five-piece The Last Dinner Party are hotly tipped to be a 2024 success story. Having spent a year touring the London music circuit before releasing anything, they exploded onto the scene earlier this year with debut single 'My Lady of Mercy'. Since then, they've not stopped releasing an impressive catalogue of tracks that has captured the attention of BBC Radio 6, Rolling Stone, NME (who called them 'the best new band you haven't heard of yet') and so many more. Now to patiently await more music and maybe even a debut album from them in 2024...

The Mary Wallopers
One of Ireland's best exports in the last few years, The Mary Wallopers returned with their sophomore album 'Irish Rock'n'Roll' in October, receiving universal acclaim and reaching the Top 40 in UK Charts and Number two on the Irish Album Charts. The captivating six-piece are renowned for their energetic performances which immerse audiences in the rich heritage of Irish folk music - not a band to be missed live!

This alt-rock band from Leeds made a mark on the scene this year, with praise from fans and critics alike.
