Lakeside Farm -

Being an agricultural Show, it makes sense for us to start with our fantastic Lakeside Farm! Lakeside Farm is a family friendly marquee aimed at educating consumers all about food, farming, and the countryside. For those of you wanting to get respite from the busy hustle and bustle of the rest of the Show, we recommend Lakeside Farm as a peaceful sanctuary where you can make use of some quieter activities and have a break in the picnic area filled with useful picnic benches.

Activities in Lakeside Farm include:

• Getting up close to livestock (Sheep, Pigs, Goats, Cows, and even very cute fluffy calves!).
• Picking up an activity pack consisting of colouring, pencils, mini puzzles, and a farming workbook.
• Watching the entertainment in the display ring, consisting of: The Sheep Show, the Goat Display, and the Great British Dogs.
• A felting workshop.
• A wool-washing workshop.
• A farm-shop butchery demonstration.
• Milk tasting
• Cheese tasting
• Opportunities to get up close and ask lots of questions about farming machinery.
