The Mercury Prize celebrates the finest talents in UK and Irish music by honoring the 12 outstanding 'Albums of the Year'. It recognizes exceptional artistic achievements and provides insight into the year's music, helping to spread new albums and genres to a wider audience.

Charli XCX is embarking on her UK arena tour to celebrate her acclaimed sixth album, BRAT. This album features a raw, introspective sound that contrasts with her previous success. BRAT explores her vulnerabilities and insecurities through aggressive beats and personal lyrics, marking her growth from a DIY artist to a prominent pop figure. The album offers an honest look at fame, self-worth, and human connection.

CMAT – Crazymad, for Me

CMAT's second album, Crazymad, for Me, amplifies her self-aware style with a richer sound and grander ambition. The album's 12 tracks are filled with pop culture references and explore a past catastrophic relationship, showcasing CMAT's wit and the perspective of a wiser, yet still fiery, woman. Unfortunately, there are currently no tour dates for CMAT, however they will be performing at a few upcoming festivals! Keep an eye on our website for any potential tour dates.
Corinne Bailey Rae – Black Rainbows

Corinne Bailey Rae stated that Black Rainbows was inspired by an exhibition on Black history by artist Theaster Gates at the Stony Island Arts Bank in Chicago that she attended, which "summoned thoughts about slavery, spirituality, beauty, survival, hope and freedom”. corto.alto – Bad With Names

corto.alto’s debut album, Bad With Names, expands on award-winning EPs with a blend of live and electronic elements, creating a vibrant next-gen jazz sound rich in harmonies and improvisation. Glasgow-based multi-instrumentalist Liam Shortall, has a diverse background in both jazz and electronic music. Bad With Names includes tracks with dynamic solos and sophisticated arrangements, showcasing Shortall’s seamless blend of live and electronic elements.
English Teacher – This Could Be Texas

On their debut album, English Teacher tackles themes of prejudice, the cost-of-living crisis, and mental health. True to their name, they deliver lessons through a mix of literary and cultural references, genre shifts, and complex melodies. The album features dynamic tracks that blend synths, guitar rock, piano, and layered vocals, exemplified in the genre-bending first track. While it's tempting to categorise them as just another post-punk revival band, English Teacher’s debut reveals their boundless potential and versatility.
