What’s On at Europe’s Biggest Celebration of Patchwork & Quilting



The Festival of Quilts, Europe’s leading patchwork and quilting event, returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 1st to 4th August 2024, with a bumper line-up of features that include special guest appearances from international quilting artists (including Jenny Doan!), hundreds of craft brands, an incredible workshop, talks and lectures programme, and much more!

Shop from specialist craft retailers from around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Japan. From fat quarters and fabric to patterns, notions, and long arm machines, the show offers countless in-person shopping opportunities.

The Competition Quilts are a top Festival highlight, drawing visitors to see incredible entries in Europe's largest open quilt competition. Be inspired by fellow quilters and vote for your favourite in the Visitors’ Choice Award.

 

International Quilting Stars

Flying in from the USA will be quilter, YouTube star, and owner of the Missouri Star Quilt Company, Jenny Doan. Jenny will share how quilting has impacted her life and offer quick and easy quilting tips in a series of trunk shows.

The Festival of Quilts features Europe’s largest workshop and talks program with international tutors like Carolina Oneto, Joe Cunningham, Gregory Jay Barner, Renee Fleuranges-Valdes, and Gai Taylor, along with new UK tutors including Dunja Supp, Elisabeth Culshaw, and Paula Milner.
