What’s Happening at Alexandra Palace? The Terrace, Golden Ticket and more!

Alexandra Palace

The first half of 2020 has seen the UK take a pause on live events, with many venues falling quiet. However, the team at the iconic Alexandra Palace in London have been busy behind closed doors. Let us enlighten you on the amazing things Ally Pally have been up to. Check out what they’ve got in store for us very soon!

Charity Work

During lockdown, Ally Pally opened its spaces to assist in charity work with Edible London and Compassion London. Since April, Edible London has been using the Great Hall to prepare food parcels and other essentials for the most vulnerable in the local community. Alexandra Palace also opened its kitchens to Compassion London. Made up of professional chefs, foodies and volunteers the charity creates meals for frontline NHS staff, key workers and people in self-isolation.

The Terrace

As lockdown restrictions begin to lift, the minds and workers behind Alexandra Palace bring their attention to their latest offering to the Great British public!

Set against stunning panoramic views of London, the Palace’s south-facing terrace and grounds have been reimagined as one of London’s biggest beer gardens. Opening on Saturday 4th July, The Terrace will safely offer food, drinks and music from Fridays to Sundays throughout the summer.

You can get stuck into a range of different delights. This includes a choice of five street food vendors, alongside a much welcomed, well-stocked bar. There’ll be everything from craft beers and wine through to cocktails and soft drinks on offer.

The Terrace will be the perfect spot for after work drinks. Enjoy a weekend brunch, or soak up the sun with a drink in hand.

Of course, the health and safety of the customers and team at Alexandra Palace is crucial, and therefore many measures have been implemented to ensure that The Terrace follows strict hygiene protocols and allows for that all-important social distancing.

Enhanced cleaning has been introduced, along with hand sanitiser units. The Terrace will operate table service only for maximum group bookings of six people. All orders and payments will go through an at-table-app ordering system to ensure there is no need for cash or contact with anyone outside of your household.
